  • You send your paper documents to File Express.
  • Once your documents are received at File Express, each document is given a unique document number.
  • The paper documents are then scanned into electronic images.
  • When each document is an electronic image, the image is converted into electronic data through a combination of OCR and data entry.
  • The electronic data is then sent to your business partner(s) using EDI.
  • Your paper documents are sent back to your company. If you choose, the scanned image of each document can be archived on a CD and sent to your company.

Two Easy Ways to Submit Documents to File Express

You can submit your company's paper documents to File Express two ways:

  • You can fax your paper documents using a fax machine. The faxed document is sent electronically to a special fax transmission receiver located at File Express.
  • You can mail your paper documents using the U.S. Postal Service.

Your Data is Available to You

Once your paper documents have been converted into EDI, your electronic data is available to you for use in your reporting or analysis software. After your data has been turned into meaningful information, you will be able to make better business decisions for your company.

File Express can provide the electronic data in most formats needed when using reporting or analysis software such as Microsoft Excel or Microsoft Access. If you do not have reporting or analysis software, File Express can format your data into customizable paper reports for you.
